Love these!
Thank you!
I’m in love with Japanese pottery, lived in Osaka for almot five years and did a work exchange with a couple of studios there. I find the Zen philosophy of the functional and appreciation of all aspects of a moment, very inspiring.
While working at one of the studios, I studied tea ceremony, which is very much about mindfulness and appealing to all the senses. Sadly, it is a difficult concept not well grasped in Western culture and that old Art vs. Craft argument rears it’s ugly head. I love the functional, the pleasure of enjoying mundane things. Being in touch and mindful of these broaden your awareness and perception in understanding life, how human beings can exist in harmony with the environment and in knowing thyself.
Thank you so much for visiting and sharing your comment.
Tranquility to you and the ones you love.
